For some reasons, many new amateur photographers like to take macro pictures of something. Same thing happened to me too. Here are the methods I used to enlarge tiny objects:

Yading is a relatively newly developed remote national park for tourists. At the center of the park there are two lakes: Lake Wuse (5 colors) and three sacred mountains. No private vehicles can reach the center, tourists have to ride horse for a few hours to get there.

It is a small Huang Jiao temple within the city of Daocheng. Because it was raining so the only place we could go shoot was this temple. Lama there turned out to be very friendly. For 10 Yuan per person, we could should in and out and even the lamas there.
Chuanxi Safari (7) - The highest city: Litang

Located at 4200 meters, Litang is probably the highest city in the world. There are not much trees or buildings, the Town is surrounded only by highland grass. We were planned to stay there for one night but somebody in our company experienced serious headache so we just passed it by and moved on to the next town Daocheng.

July 23, 2009, we were on our way to Tagong, small town in the middle of a grassland. I have been been to a grassland before and was really shocked by the first sight of Bamei grassland.

July 22, 2009, we went to Danba, which was about 80 kilometers away from Rilong. There are 3 attractions one must see in Danba: Jiaju tibetan village, Posuo towners and Beauty Village.

Mt. Four Girls, with the highest peak at about 6200 meters high, is a popular place for amateur mountaineer to hike. A small town called Rilong is located just near the bottom of the mountain.

Invited by a friend, I had a chance to travel in Chuanxi and Yuannan areas for 3 weeks. We had a Wrangler Rubicon and 4 people, wj, wumi, leaf and me. On the morning of July 21st, we left Chengdu and our first stop was Rilong, where Mt. 4 girls was located.

Never been to Chendu before and was pretty excited when I got there the first time. It looked like a modern city, like many other Chinese capital cities. Pretty yound women were everywhere. Hotels and food were pretty cheap but the food was really really hot.
