How to take macro pictures?
- 2010-01-08

For some reasons, many new amateur photographers like to take macro pictures of something. Same thing happened to me too. Here are the methods I used to enlarge tiny objects:
1. Use a macro lens. This is the best method. I ended up buying two of them: a Nikon 105mm VR and a Sigma 105mm.
2. Use an extension tube. You get super picture quality too.
3. Use a magnify lens. I do not like this method as it decreases your picture quality.
4. Use a reversely hooked prime lens. I like this way as it give you both quality and magnitude.
You can use a combination of the above approaches and that was actually what I did mostly.
For the following picture, I used a sigma 105mm macro lens plus a reversely hooked 28mm lens.

This one, I used a Sigma 105mm macro lense pluse 2x extension tube + a 50mm reversely hooked lens.
